Seadom has spent more than three decades working with a single raw material: seaweed. That focus shows up in practical ways for our buyers — sourcing relationships that hold across seasons, processing that has been tuned over thousands of production runs, and an export team that has shipped seaweed-based fertilizers to more than 40 countries. When you ask us a technical question, you get an answer from the people who run the production lines, not from a sales brochure.
It also means stability. Fertilizer buyers do not judge a supplier only by the specification sheet; they judge it by how the tenth shipment compares with the first. Continuity of raw material, process and people is what keeps that comparison uneventful — and uneventful is exactly what you want from a supply chain.
From the Quebec Shoreline to Your Field
Every Seadom formula starts with Ascophyllum nodosum, harvested from the cold Atlantic coast of Quebec, Canada. Cold-water ascophyllum grows slowly and concentrates the compounds that make seaweed extract valuable as a biostimulant — alginic acid, mannitol, betaines and a broad spectrum of trace elements.
Keeping that value intact is a processing question. Seadom uses an enzymatic hydrolysis process, which breaks the seaweed down gently and protects heat-sensitive compounds that harsher extraction methods can damage. The raw material base, storage and processing lines are integrated, so material is handled quickly and consistently from arrival to finished goods.
Capacity and Consistency at Container Scale
Seadom produces 3,000–5,000 tonnes of seaweed-based fertilizer per year in liquid, flake, powder and granule forms, alongside micro-element and macro-element water-soluble fertilizers. For importers and distributors, that scale means two things: a programme that can grow year on year without a supply break, and batch-to-batch consistency, because every production run is made against the same specification sheet.
