Seaweed Extract Liquid – Premium Organic Biostimulant for Thriving Plants
Our Seaweed Extract Liquid is a high-quality, nutrient-rich solution designed to promote plant growth, soil health, and crop productivity. Extracted from premium seaweeds, this liquid fertilizer is packed with essential nutrients, plant hormones, and bioactive compounds, making it an effective organic biostimulant for farmers, gardeners, and horticulturists seeking healthier, more resilient plants.
Nutrient-Packed Formula
This seaweed liquid fertilizer delivers a balanced mix of nutrients to boost plant vitality:
Alginic Acid ≥21g/L – 30g/L – Enhances soil structure, increases water retention, and improves root development.
Organic Matter ≥80g/L – 150g/L – Enriches soil, stimulates beneficial microbial activity, and supports nutrient availability.
Total Nitrogen (N) ≥70g/L – 80g/L, Phosphorus (P₂O₅) ≥30g/L – 70g/L, Potassium (K₂O) ≥40g/L – 70g/L – Provides balanced nutrition for strong growth, vibrant leaves, and abundant flowers or fruits.
Microelements ≥2g/L – 8g/L (Fe, Mo, Zn, B) – Essential for plant metabolism and enzymatic activity.
Natural Plant Hormones ≥300ppm – Promote germination, rooting, and overall plant vigor.
Seaweed Polysaccharide ≥100g/L – Supports stress resistance and improves plant resilience.
With 100% water solubility, this liquid is easy to apply and ensures rapid absorption for immediate plant benefits.
Benefits for Agriculture & Horticulture
Our Seaweed Extract Liquid acts as a natural plant growth enhancer and soil conditioner, offering multiple advantages:
Stimulates Root Growth – Promotes stronger, deeper roots for improved nutrient and water uptake.
Enhances Nutrient Absorption – Ensures plants efficiently take up essential minerals and trace elements.
Improves Stress Resistance – Strengthens plants against drought, cold, disease, and other environmental stressors.
Boosts Crop Yield & Quality – Encourages lush foliage, vibrant flowering, and high-quality fruits or vegetables.
Enriches Soil Health – Supports beneficial microbial activity and improves soil fertility over time.
Suitable for vegetables, fruits, cereals, flowers, and ornamental plants, it’s ideal for greenhouses, open fields, and hydroponic systems.
Easy Application
The 100% water-soluble formula ensures simple and flexible usage:
Foliar Spray: Apply directly to leaves for rapid nutrient absorption and visible growth improvements.
Soil Drenching: Mix with water and apply to the root zone to promote nutrient uptake and strong root development.
Hydroponics: Easily incorporated into nutrient solutions for soilless cultivation systems.
This versatility allows growers to integrate the product seamlessly into any planting or gardening program.

Two liquid seaweed extract grades for growers and distributors who want to avoid dissolving powder on site: a concentrated extract and a two-grade green seaweed liquid. Both are formulated for foliar spraying, soil drenching and continuous feeding through drip or hydroponic systems.
The advantage of a liquid grade is not that it is stronger — gram for gram of active ingredient, a solid is usually more concentrated. The advantage is handling. There is no dissolution step, no undissolved residue in the tank, no risk of an operator mixing the powder wrongly, and no dust in a packing shed. For a distributor supplying smallholders, or for an operation running continuous fertigation, that difference is worth more than the concentration on the label.
The trade-off is freight. A liquid carries water to the destination port, so the delivered cost per unit of alginic acid is higher than for a solid. Buyers who compare only price per tonne will always see the solid grade as cheaper; buyers who cost the mixing labour and the residues usually do not.
| Declared item | Seaweed extract liquid | Green seaweed liquid |
|---|---|---|
| Alginic acid | ≥ 8 g/L | ≥ 21 g/L standard ≥ 30 g/L high grade |
| Organic matter | ≥ 40 g/L | ≥ 150 g/L standard ≥ 80 g/L high grade |
| Nitrogen (N) | 0–1 g/L | ≥ 80 g/L standard ≥ 70 g/L high grade |
| Phosphorus (P2O5) | 0–1 g/L | ≥ 30 g/L standard ≥ 70 g/L high grade |
| Potassium (K2O) | ≥ 30 g/L | ≥ 40 g/L standard ≥ 70 g/L high grade |
| Mannitol | ≥ 4 g/L | — |
| Protein | ≥ 4 g/L | — |
| Plant hormones | ≥ 1,000 ppm | ≥ 300 ppm |
| Seaweed polysaccharides | — | ≥ 100 g/L |
The two products answer different questions. The concentrated extract is a hormone-forward product: ≥ 1,000 ppm of natural plant hormones with a low NPK background, which is what a programme wants when the crop is already being fed and the missing element is signalling — rooting, flowering, recovery after stress. The green seaweed liquid is a nutrition-forward product: much higher organic matter and, in the standard grade, a substantial NPK load, so it does part of the feeding job as well as the biostimulant job.
Note that the two grades of green seaweed liquid are not simply “weak and strong”. The high grade carries more alginic acid and more phosphorus but less organic matter and less potassium than the standard grade. A buyer who assumes the higher-priced grade is better on every line will specify the wrong product for a potassium-driven programme.
Both grades are aqueous concentrates and should be treated as such: keep them out of direct sun, do not let them freeze, and dilute according to the programme rather than by habit. Because a liquid is easy to overdose, the more common mistake with these products is applying too much rather than too little. When a liquid goes into a tank with other actives, run a jar test first — the polysaccharide and protein fractions in the green liquid can react with high-calcium inputs.
For the mechanism behind the response — which fractions act on roots, which on stress tolerance and which on fruit quality — the active ingredients guide sets it out. For the difference in outcome between foliar and root delivery, the application efficacy guide covers what has been measured and under what conditions.
Seadom has manufactured seaweed extract from Quebec Ascophyllum nodosum for more than 35 years and exports to more than 40 countries. Liquid grades are supplied with a batch certificate of analysis; where a customer specification requires a figure that is not declared on this page, tell us at enquiry stage and we will confirm what the batch actually carries.
